Returning to Lotus Pier had been a relief on one hand and complicated on others. Being back home meant he was back where he belonged, but it also proved to be much the same as it had been before he and Wei Wuxian had departed for Cloud Recesseses. Still it did mean he stepped back into training under his mother and sometimes shadowing his father on sect business.


At the moment, he's on the pier, waiting for a boat his father had sent him to meet, a delivery from one of the other sects. He hadn't been given the details, but it was important enough that he'd been asked to see to it himself.
