βIt is not enough to win a war; it is more important to organize the peace.β β Aristotle The suns burn too brightly in the morning sky. The Qishan Wens grow bolder by the day. From Nevernight City, distant screams. Rumor spreads of Wen Ruohands madness, his collection of Shadow Iron shards almost complete. The sects can look away no longer. It's time to sound the drums of war. GUSU CURRENT SECT LEADER: Lan Xichen Where the clouds call their home. Where lakes meet mountains, Gusu is as bright and pristine as their prominent Lan sect. Caiyi Town is built upon scenic waterways, with boats readily available for hire for transportation through the town. It is famous for it's distilled liquor, Emperor's Smile. The Lan sect itself is nestled high within the mountains within their Cloud Recesses. It features locations such as guest housing, lecture halls, library pavilion, and cold healing spring. QINGHE CURRENT SECT LEADER: Nie Mingjue A forboding inland region backed by mountains, Qinghe is as inhospitable on surface as its famed Nie sect, descendants of butchers. Qinghe primarily features the ancestral burial grounds of the Nie sect and the Impure Realm, home of the Nie sect. Locations within the Impure Realm include a training courtyard, great hall, banquet hall, guest quarters, and dungeon. YUNMENG CURRENT SECT LEADER: Jiang Fengmian Surrounded by water and accessible only by ship, Yunmeng is a small slice of paradise almost apart from the world. Yunping City stands on the outskirts of the Jiang sect's Lotus Pier, acting as the region's main hub of trade and commerce. As the name suggests, Lotus Pier is surrounded by a sprawling lake brimming with lotus blossoms, and their primary export is lotus seed, flower, and root. Within Lotus Pier is a large courtyard, great hall, ancestral temple, guest villas, and many scenic pavilions overlooking the water, near to docks. QISHAN CURRENT SECT LEADER: Wen Ruohan Inexplicably, Qishan appears to exist atop an active volcano. It is a menacing and unseemly region. Belonging to the Wen sect, at this point in time their Nevernight City is more fortress than home, the Wen clan more warlords than cultivators. Nevernight City features a great hall currently filled with Wen Ruohan's corpse puppets, sprawling dungeons, and limited housing for Wen sect soldiers as well as any unfortunate guests they might house. There is also a banquet hall currently unused, a watchtower with large landing, and some amount of farmland at Qishan's foothills for self-sustainability. LANLING CURRENT SECT LEADER: Jin Guangshan The grand ancestral home of the Jin sect, there is no part of Lanling untouched by Jin excess. Its main area is its Gilded Terrace, fully equipped with an extravagant banquet hall, great recieving hall, familial and guest quarters, stone courtyards, and flowering walkways. THE IMPERIAL CITY PLACEHOLDER DAFAN MOUNTAIN Home to a branch family of the Qishan Wens, Dafan Mountain is known for its temple housing a stone statue said to have naturally come to resemble a beautiful woman. The temple is in disrepair but the statue remains, and there is a small town surrounding the temple where a modest population lives. This is also home to the Wen clan's ancestral graves. YI CITY A miserable, dusty place abandoned to time. It is home to the dead and dying and presently sits empty, overlooked and forgotten even in this time of war. BURIAL MOUNDS Grounds so cursed all attempts to purify them have failed, this mass grave is a no mans land for all sects. None who enter have come out alive. It is overrun with ghosts and resentful energy, and the sects have sealed it off to protect the public from its dangers. |
