Red strings are long filaments of spiritual energy that attach you to your fated cultivation partner (or partners).

Invisible most of the time, they become visible when the other person is injured, or when cultivating / night hunting in the same area using a lot of power.

You can also cast divination spells to try to see your red strings, but these aren't guaranteed to work.

Strings can be severed in the event of death, sorcery, or a passage of events that alter fate. These can be seen when a divination spell is cast as faded, grey, untethered strings.
